Productionwise it sounds way better, musicwise: same old bullshit :p

Well, I'm excited, even if nobody else is :)

I'm excited! Far too excited for mere words. Trying to keep myself away from the extremely tempting previews in order to fully immerse myself in the full release. Obviously setting myself up for a huge fall, but you never know...

I tentatively clicked the previews (just for a second) and they don't sound like DX7 renditions of Norwegian medieval music, so that's a plus. I'm crossing my fingers and toes...

some of these songs were actually authored pre-burzum; the previews definitely at least sound better than every single new album by the original wave of Norse bm bands, even though they really aren't long enough to make the call.

saw UNTIL THE LIGHT TAKES US in the theater the other night, definitely worth it - I've been into this shit deep for a decade, and the whole church-burning thing never really fully registered until I saw actual footage of the fires on the big screen, some really powerful stuff.  also the section about Frost's performance art is F-U-C-K-E-D fuck oh man too too much
