Yes, Desiderii Marginis once made rather bland gothic-tinged ambient, but his new one really is incredible. Haven't heard such a grand and majestic dark ambient record for a long time. Well, and the Thought Broadcast album...it's so lo-fi and skeletal actually, that I can't really understand, why I find it so fascinating. May be because it's lacking even the most basic form of human warmth. It's just so utterly cold and desolate.

EDIT: listening to Thought Broadcast samples on SoundCloud (experimedia). Sounds really nice actually. I don't find the sampels cold or anything. It is not like listening to Hecker or Yasunao Tone for example. 
This has to go on my already much to big wishlist.

Totally forgot the FSOL  Enviroments record. Don't have the motivation to change my list, but that one would be pretty high on it.

I became a bit afraid of FSOL a few years ago with all those more hippie like albums, that while I really love their older albums (Lifeforms and such). 

You'll be safe with the Environments albums then, they seem to be a way of easing people back into the FSOL sound again - starting with unreleased 90s material and slowly adding new stuff as the series goes on.  I think this one is about 99% proper new FSOL stuff.  No acoustic ballads or brass bands in sight.
