Ideas for the next website update

Hey all, It's time for a bit of a spruce-up. So while we're doing it... What would you like to see improved on the site? What new things would you like to see? What could we do without? The best idea wins a $1BN advertising campaign featuring the winner saying "The new Type Records Website was my idea" whilst wearing a set of headphones borrowed from the photographer's assistant, sitting in an anonymous and impossibly sunny urban park grinning inanely at someone off-camera who doesn't exist. Oh, hang on, that's been done... how about the endless respect of your fellow forum-dwellers? :-) |

That's it for now.
(i know this is only the forum side of the site...the rest i will have do dive into some deeper, maybe more later) |

Artists sorted alphabetic would make it easier to check things out quickly. |

Any chance of a more comprehensive discography to include all the bonus CDs? The main reason I ask is so I can steal the cover art to use to tag the albums on my iPod! |

Hey Stef. May I suggest a small adjustment: When you click on one of the posts in the 'recent discussions' column on the right, could you make it so that you are then taken to the actual page of the thread in which the post you clicked is featured - i.e: usually the LAST page of a thread, rather than always the first. Hope that makes sense!?

Apart from the above niggle about last page of thread, all good with current site Stef. |

A mobile phone browser version of the site would be awesome. |
Yeah a phone version would be great... maybe an APP of the forum?? So I could waste time arguing the merits of prog rock while on the treadmill... |
there is a Wordpress for Mobile plugin, but not sure how it works on the forum... |
It would be great to have some pressing info on how limited the releases actually are (including colours and everything). |
an RSS feed for the podcasts would be maassssively appreciated :) thanks xxxx |

Anyone else having problems using the forum in Internet Explorer 9? I get the WYSIWYG editor not scrolling and then when you try and post it asks about you wanting to leave the page, but not posting. If no-one else has had a problem or cares then I won't bother looking at it. If anyone else is having issues in IE9 then let us know. |
Yes Larry, am having that problem in IE9, r.e: posts. It asks if you want to leave the page, then when you do it, it doesn't post. However, you can get it to work by clicking 'stay on the page' the first time, then immediately try it again and chose to 'leave the page'. Weird, but it works the second time! At least that how it's been for me. Hope that helps mate. |

Will add it to my list of things to fix, unless Stef magically upgrades the TinyMCE editor to the latest version for us. |
