Yeah it's a set of prints and digital, sadly no vinyl. It's an incredible record but having talked to Jon and Bruce at FSS about it, it wouldn't have fitted quite properly on vinyl, and they're not interested in doing CDs. We'll be doing something with Jon later in the year - something quite surprising I think. Watch this space. |

yeah, I don't get it. "Limited ed. LP" http://www.flingcosound.com/albumDetail.php?album_id=8 |

Had to chime in here just to clear the confusion. Phase will not be issued on vinyl. It's one long piece that we all felt (label included) would not work as well being split in half just for a format. However, the label doesn't want to release CDs, so we're trying something different - four of Jason Kahn's designs (which some might be familiar with from the covers of his now defunct Cut label) screenprinted on cardstock, accompanied by a smaller card with info and a download code, plus a button featuring another of Jason's designs. It's a digital release with as much physicality as we felt appropriate. Further questions should be directed at the label - he's a great guy and I'm sure will be happy to discuss. Thanks for the interest! Jon |

That Machinarium OST is outstanding - did you pick up the free EP as well? (http://machinarium.net/blog/2009/11/22/free-mac...) |

Eleh - Location Momentum (Touch, 2010) First track now, and sounds really pure minimal dronings.

Joy Of Nature - The Sheapards Tea, now available digitally from his bandcamp page. Amazing neo-folk/ambient-folk from the Azores, Portugal. Finally got around to listening to the Golden Jooklo Age and Peaking Lights split LP. Sam Goldberg - Dark Corners, probably still my fav Goldberg release. |

Cold Cave & Prurient - Stars Explode. Got to remember not to buy vinyl releases from Hospital Productions again! It's a great label and this is a good EP, but the quaiity of their vinyl in appalling - had the same problem on last years Yellow Tears release. Don't want to sound like too much of a sychophant, but it makes you appreciate how good Type's pressings are. |

mono - holy ground nyc live roedelius - the diary of the unforgotten final - afar caribou - swim sylvain chauveau - singular forms |

God, the caribou album is awful. |

haha really? what's it like? |
I'm sure I've heard stuff by him before, but I can't remember it at all. Lots of really dated early '90s dance motifs. Some surfy guitar. Saxophone. Quite annoying high vocals. Reminded me of post ex:el 808 state. Though some bits reminded me of Jamiroquai. I'm not going to put myself through it again to give a more detailed review. |

Jasper TX - A Voice From Dead Radio. Great compilatiion of three early CDR's, plus a stack of remixes. Good job Chris, and Dag of course. |

I went to see 'Infra', the ballet for which Max Richter composed and performed the soundtrack, at the Royal Opera House last week. That soundtrack is really stunning, and I've just read that it will be getting a proper release on Fat Cat in May. Definitely one to look forward to - let's hope it gets a vinyl pressing... |
Yeah I'm hoping that Fat Cat doing a vinyl on that. Given they've now done his other LPs on vinyl, I'd be surprised if they don't. |
Thanks James, glad you liked it Dag (plus all the remixers of course!) did a great job on the music and Oscar made it look beautiful. Expect more "proper" releases like this form UTS in the near future.. |

Max Richter - Infra (Live Recording) Tangerine Dream - Rubycon (nice to see the "classic" TD LPs getting a vinyl reissue, as my originals are pretty crappy) Zola Jesus - Stridulum EP Bersarin Quartett - s/t The Delta Mirrors - Machines That Listen |
I just got Stridulum too.... classy! What's with the TD reissues? Any more info? I have the origs but some of them are indeed a little shaky at this point. |
Nothing to get too exciting about John. Just Rubycon and Phaedra 180g on Virgin in a couple of weeks. Nothing new, but as they are probably the most played on my TD I'll see if I can afford the 17 quid each. |
Haha. Just seen that TD are playing Zeitgeist at the Royal Albert. Wouldn't dream of going, but I wonder who is actually left? |
