Horrible Cover Artworks

Beautiful Cover Artworks can seriously enhance the enjoyment of a record. The Touch Label is a good example. But there are Covers so hideously ugly, that it manages to nearly ruin the record. Best example for this is "Theory of Machines" from Ben Frost. A fantastic Record, but the artwork is so horrible that I even thought about selling it. Terrible...

Do you know any other Records with equally bad Taste in Design?

P.S. What about Bedroom Community in general? It's quite irritating

one of my favorite examples of artwork gone wrong: http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=674596

and that's not the only fuggly artwork from that label.

I really can't stand the bright colored collage-type design that Black Dice started back in the early '00's. That wave of shitty design is on display everyday at the Pitchfork site.

This one is hilarious, too. "Die offene Gesellschaft" from Thilges 3, on Staubgold.

Seriously? I really love Jeroen Advocaat's artwork for Sending Orbs. It is quite heavily stylised though, and I'm aware that it does tend to polarise opinion. Boomkat are always going on about it. :)

Here's a particularly nasty one: http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=779757

@Jamesqdot he did a few nice ones but most of them I think are absolutely a disgrace to the music that is on the cd (with this Yagya one topping it) and that while I don't even like most of the releases on the label...seriously it hurts my eyes.

Not the worst cover ever, but still reason enough for me not to buy this:

The drawing is bad enough, but it's the background that is the icing on the cake. - That Pooh cover is hilarious indeed!

Also, there's this:

The price for the worst cover of 2010 undoubtedly goes to this Record:

One of the best Free Jazz Records this year so far. But the Artwork is painful to the eyes...FMR in general, albeit a good jazz label, has a knack for shitty covers:

This one is also amazingly crappy:

What were they thinking?

P.S.: I have a soft spot for the Sending Orbs Design. This cheesy fantasy vibe is surprisingly pleasing for me. Especially this one:

The Blamstrain cover is a favourite of mine as well actually. It's just so in tune with the music itself and wonderfully evocative. :)
