RJ Valeo with Justin Gibbon and Justin Miller - The Philadelphia Recordings [Digitalis Ltd] This needs a vinyl re-issure. A1 & B2 are mindblowing.
@ Larry New Squarepusher is donkeyshit. This scruffy bitch ass motherfucker lost his magic touch a long time ago |

Heads up for London people - tickets for Basinski's Disintegration Loops Live at the Southbank are now on sale. Get on it, they're almost sold out! |

Since everybody jumped the Eli Keszler boat, I simply can't listen to his music anymore. Too much Keszler for me! Listening to the new Line release. Everyone of them excellent. |
Still totally in love with Eli Keszler. Split with KFW is just great. NP Gareth Davis & Frances-Marie Uitti - Gramercy |
So you don't listen to Eli Keszler's music anymore because people have started listening to his stuff?
No, because I bought nearly every album he released, and am now rather bored by his (technically impressive) hyper-drumming shtick. I still like his music, but it got a bit much lately |
Hardly 'popular music', is it? Who cares what other people are listening to. So I missed the Keszler boat then - which releases do people recommend? I have Red Horse 1 & 2. The split with KFW has gotta be awesome, right? |
Yeah, his playing is great to witness live but just like other hyperactive contemporary Free Jazz the recordings just make nervous. |
I wanna phrase it like this: When you have "Oxtirn" and "Red Horse", why should you bother with Keszler's PAN Release for example? His style is unique, but he's a one-trick pony. And if you get the feeling, that the story is basically told, you get bored. I hope, it's not the case, and I will follow his future releases, but for me, he has to prove, that he's capable of other stuff. |

@larry & @kobresia: agreed on further. some of his best work is singles only though. i'm particulary fond of the sally free and easy EP, and his collaboration with roy montgomery. |
