Deaf Center - Owl Splinters

Hi Guys, I'm afraid this time FE won't be getting any colored vinyl - they ARE getting copies though, and though they are in short supply it should be enough for everyone who hasn't managed to get one yet. I haven't had my allocation yet, but if I have more than one clear vinyl copy I'll update here and anyone who really NEEDS one can talk to me about it. |

Here lies Tom. He died because he wasn't able to get a copy of Deaf Center's "Owl Splinters" on transparent vinyl.
:-) |
i'm sad that Tom died =[
but i can have his tsansparent copy instead! |
Darn! Ah well as long as I get a copy at all I won't gripe. Gotta make sure I jump on FE the day these go on sale though if they're already getting a limited batch. Looks like I'll be spending a day or two hitting the refresh button in lieu of getting work done |
If the black vinyl sounds better, I certainly want black vinyl! Has anybody heard it by now? I want to heat up my anticipation :-) |
I listened to this lp last night, I love it. |
I'd prefer a clear one, if possible, but not willing to pay the inevitable 'Collector's Price' for one. I cannot deny my geekiness for these things... |

Big dogs cock. Was waiting on Norman Records to get this and have just been told they don't think they'll get enough copies in and Boomkat have just sold out. Have ordered a copy from both anost and amazon in the hope that one turns up!! My fault for not picking up a copy from Boomkat. |
Ball bagz. I was waiting on old Norman too. HMV have it listed for £8.99 with Free Shipping... like that's ever going to show up... |
Phil @ Norman says that he's ordered 50, but half that are sold on pre-order and he's expecting to get his order cut as they're supplied from Boomkat and it's dependent on how many they sell. Moral of this. Order Type vinyl from Boomkat. Everything else from Norman. |

so much looking forward to receiving my package, but won't be home before Saturday I am afraid :( |

I've got a spare Clear Deaf Center copy.anyone interested? im willing to trade it(not for sale). Here's my wantlist:( wanted items only. not interested in anything else) |
no offense kerosen but i think probably some people here might be mad at you. do you know why? |
no. |
@jantz. i think i know what you mean-why i bought 2 copies? right?.i bought one and my wife another one.i didnt know she ordered a copy though.but i dont need to justify you or anyone else. im not trying to make profit here like our friends form netherlands or belgium who buy dozens and sell them on discogs at collectors price (ulixes, daizmuisc(which im pretty sure is daizok))just to name a few.all i want is to trade.simple.seems fair enough to me. |

no need to point the finger man--my apologies for my misunderstanding. It is sort of weird and unfortunate though that a record becomes "rare" only a week after its release. That's nothing to do with you, though...just saying it's too bad. Of course, plenty of CD copies about, I'm sure. |
no worries.im a record collector not a dealer and i know how frustrating can be to miss a record.but hey there's a good opportunity for someone to own this record without paying big money.just a fair trade between collectors. |

The album isn't "rare" in any way. You can perfectly buy a copy from anost.net (for a very reasonable 16.99€) or a-musik. This Ulixes guy on Discogs, selling it for 25€ at the moment, is clearly a rip-off. Everybody who want's a copy right now, will get one, but OMFG the new Sans-Xtro Album on ultra fucking limited lime vinyl hit Boomkat a few minutes ago!!! I have to get that one, or I will never see it again for less then 49.95€ on Discogs!!!!!!!! By the way: I have unplayed, mint copies of Type releases Alphabet 1968, Yellow Swans (+ CD), and even a sealed Grouper Dragging Deer Record in my shelf. Somehow I always played the CDs, because somehow they felt like CD-Albums to me. Wait until the day my wrath will hit the unholy shores of the Discogs Marketplace. Shivers will run down the spines of those poor beings not in possession of these divine pieces of cultish adoration. Actually, I wouldn't open the Grouper Record, although I think I would never sell it. But to have the possibitliy is just to tempting. Strange, isn't it? These record inflaters really piss me off, I have to say. It's just too obvious. |
just judging by the talk here...seems like people are having difficulty tracking copies down right now. |
@Kersonen. Yes that's me, i'm not secrative about it ;) Over the past 18 years I bought tons of cds, records and indeed some releases i buy double. I never buy lots of copies of a release, but one extra copy I do not find unethical. About a third of my collection is on discogs for the price for which I'M willing to let them go, i do not sell music to earn a living, but not all of my real life earnings can go into music - more would kill my wife ;-). Also, i'm glad that i'm still able to buy out-of-print releases online, even if i have to pay more. All the best! |
Well, I guess you wait a few weeks and sell your Deaf Center copy for 39.95€ then? |
copies of the DC album haven't even hit FE yet... there are still copies around. anost.net will have it too... |
According to anost they've shipped my copy. Wa hey! If by some crazy miracle my copy turns up from Amazon then I'm gonna wait until they're worth £200 and sell mine on discogs. Wa hey! No morals me. |

Loving the new album. Great work |

My copy arrived this morning. The Design ist beautiful. And as ever the packaging is a wonderful tactile experience. After further fighting with my thesis, I will get lost in it. |
