Luc - the vinyl is the 'master version' of the album, having been cut and mastered by a studio I respect, and in Deaf Center's case especially having the artist in the studio at the time! Maybe now you have the vinyl version it's a good incentive to get a turntable??

Vinyl forever!

Get a record player. You are missing out!

That's a much better recommendation than mine. My record player is one of the best things I've ever bought

I've even got two - one in the front room and one in my office/studio! Can't live without 'em.

Thanks for the answer, John, that really makes sense. Now the DC vinyl is looking at me in a very alluring way!

"Owl Splinters" is a wonderful pressing. It's just that little bit more special

so true maanvaarder, I admit.
Was a present from the allmighty Wouter van Veldhoven from a gig in Norway he did. Think Erik K. Skodvin organized that for him or so.
The resemblance with the figure on it has gone though.

There are orange-vinyl copies of Owl Splinters on Boomkat under 'Just Arrived'.  Doesn't include the extra CD, though.

Still for sale so i expect quite a few where pressed, maybe the black vinyl is the real limited edition :-) (would be a nice one).

Yip.  Especially now I've got an unopened black 'un with the CD sitting spare.

Related to this, I have a serious dilemna that I need some advice on. There are two upcoming shows in New York but I can only afford to go to one. The first is Svarte Greiner and a percussionist doing a live score to the film Nosferatu at BAM which sounds so cool. The second is a set by Deaf Center preceding a performance of pieces by Henryk Gorecki who I also like a lot. Which one should I go to??

If it was me, I'd go see DC considering they hardly play live.

I too would go see Deaf Center.

Deaf Center + Gorecki = WIN

yeah that's what I was leaning toward. It's also on a Thursday instead of a Monday which works a lot better for me. Alright, Deaf Center and Gorecki it is!
