Svarte Greiner at the Luminaire - thought it needed a thread all of its own. So who's gonna make it then? I'll be there (obviously) with my box of wax, scaring old ladies.

Yep will definately do my best to be there. Never been to the Luminaire but heard great things about the place.

Hey I just noticed that Grouper will be playing there in November. Would live to make it down for that but have the small matter of our first nipper being born in September so priorities may change!

Yep, I won't be there in November sadly but Liz puts on a stunning show :)

Yep, that too! Come to Brum! It's not as bad as you think it's going to be! ;)

The Hare And Hounds is alright - bonus points for the fact there is an amazing curry house literally across the road too!

Can anyone remember the guy who used to run sound at the H&H a couple of years back?  Pretty notorious for being an absolute cock-end who seemed to go out of his way to be as annoying as possible during soundcheck (i.e. giving 'advice' on how to setup your guitar amp, having a full light show going as "that's what it'll be like when you play", etc etc).  Legendary!

Hey Gareth... I don't remember that actually, but before it opened Stef and I actually looked at it as a possibility for us to own (since it was up for sale for a while). I think the guys that run it have done a super job though, cracking venue - just VERY out of the way for me as I'm in Walsall which is a good 15 miles + in the opposite direction.

Gonna be good to meet up grohs... FINALLY. I think there will be a bunch of folk there I've never met in person. Weiiirrrdddd.

I'm not going to be able to make it to this unfortunately. Was looking forward to it, even though it was in London ; )

I'm pretty sure I doon't need to tell everyone to enjoy themselves.

Ah that's a shame Chris - are you coming to the Goldmund/Helios/Rameses III event in London?

No I'm going to be on holiday! It had better be a bloody good one to miss out on both gigs!

What a good night it was, first class artists and a great venue. Fantastic. I'm now safely back in the fens nurseing a cold nightcap. Great to meet - briefly - hope you all did find some suitable grub eventually  !!

Was great to meet everyone, good night all round. And we did manage to catch dinner at some point - found a grubby pizza joint up the road ;)

Thought Simon Scott's set was amazing (think he might have stolen the show actually), looking forward to the new album even more now. Really impressed by The Sight Below too - had never been that sure about all those 4/4 beats but his music takes on a whole different sound over a big system. And of course Svarte Greiner's set was a great finish, just a shame it couldn't have been longer.
